SUMMARY:Project WET & PLT Educator Training
DESCRIPTION:Join the National Park Service for a fun and informative worksh
 op using nature\, wildlife\, and the forest as an exciting vehicle and cat
 alyst for interdisciplinary curriculum enhancement.  Project WET and Proj
 ect Learning Tree are teacher-tested\, nationally recognized teacher train
 ing programs for environmental education that include ready-to-use curricu
 lum activity guides. Workshop attendees will learn through participation i
 n hands-on Project WET and Project Learning Tree activities and peer teach
 ing at our Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center lodge on Fri
 day.  Your attendance and completion of the workshop will result in Proje
 ct Wild and Project Learning Tree educator certification. \n\nThis worksh
 op is open to all formal and non-formal educators\, nature center staff\, 
 natural resource managers\, youth organization leaders\, and all intereste
 d volunteers.  Please join us for this very fun and informative workshop.
 \n\nCOST: Workshop is FREE with a $25.00 deposit for materials. Chattaho
 ochee National Park Conservancy has generously offered to pay for course m
 aterials for attendees. The $25 payment made to CNPC will be held as a dep
 osit and returned to all attendees.\n\nWHAT TO BRING: Bring a refillable 
 water bottle and maybe high energy snacks.  Dress for outdoor activities 
 and dress in layers to allow for changes in  temperature and physical act
 ivity. Bring a rain jacket each day.  Please bring your lunch as lunch wi
 ll be “lunch & learn” breaks and contribute toward learning hours.  T
 here is a full kitchen at the Environmental Education Center.\n\nLOCATION:
  The  Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center is located in t
 he southernmost portion of the Jones Bridge Unit.  It consists of a spaci
 ous old residence (the Lodge) and a two story 50’ X 30’ covered deck s
 urrounded by beautiful meadows\, forests\, streams\, and the river itself.
